About the Book

This book is about the life of a young boy born in 1934 during the Great Depression, in the small town of Berrima, located in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

He was six years old when the Second World War commenced. It depicts the frightening effect it had on his life and how life changed during the war.

It continues, with many interesting, life-changing events occurring during his life as a teenager and his development into a young man.
