Story Excerpt

Nowadays, when she gets off of work, she drinks and stays in the living room. After a year went by is when the beatings started. I would pray but nobody answered my prayers. Soon, I began to lose hope and stopped praying altogether.

One day, I hope someone can save me. That I’ll be able to get away from her and live a happy life again, but maybe that day will never come.
