This is an examination of the three principal factors which influence energy production and consumption, and the associated trade in fuel and power: market, transport and politics. Topics discussed include the economics of oil pipelines and tankers; the location of electricity generation and of gas manufacture, inter-fuel competition, and national and international energy policies.
