Meet Emily
Emily, who is fourteen and going through tough times in school. She has bright red hair and a feisty attitude to go with it. She visits her grandmother in Florida and finds four letters in her grandmother's cedar chest. They were very old letters, typewritten in 1934, addressed to Emily's great-grandmother.
The Letters and the Dream
Emily reads these letters and starts to dream about going back in time to find out what her great-grandmother was like back in 1934. Her grandmother takes Emily back to her great-grandmother's birthplace of Massachusetts and shows Emily the change from the time her great-grandmother lived there.
Lessons Learned
Emily also learns a lesson about bullies and how to hold her temper.
