Overview

This book follows the classical structure of engineering mechanics as it is taught at universities of applied sciences and universities in Germany, and focuses on statics—that is, the study of bodies at rest under the action of forces.

Objective

The aim of the book is to provide students with a clear and accessible introduction to statics and to enable them to independently formulate and solve engineering problems. To this end, it offers a range of examples.
