The Epic Tale of Milo Ives

Milo Ives is a 17-year-old boy. Marred by a grave accident at a young age, Milo learns he has obtained supernatural powers over the elements of Fire and Ice; he also learns his fate is to act as a mediating force between the Gods who gave him his powers and the mortals of Earth, or face the unspeakable wrath of the Gods' purge.

Set in modern day, "The Energy" takes place all around popular locations in the United States, such as San Diego, Las Vegas, and Miami; but no matter where Milo goes, he will always have enemies to face, family to help, and a world to save.

Written over the span of more than five years, "The Energy" is a fast-paced, action-filled, sci-fi-fantasy novel brimming with supernatural gods and spirits, tragedy, and unspeakable peril. Described as a "Grand Theft Auto meets The Avengers" tale of heroism, we follow Milo Ives in his pursuit for personal growth and vengeance towards a genocidal organization that pursues Milo ravenously.

Often, Milo finds he must balance the safety of his allies with the safety of those around him, as his fledgling powers possess the potential for widespread and catastrophic destruction. Luckily for Milo, the gods are on his side, as Milo goes through training with his three godly mentors—sharpening and expanding his abilities.

In his quest, Milo learns the values and skills to not only keep himself alive, but to keep his humanity in times of incessant violence and killing. But no amount of training could prepare Milo for his monumental journey nor his mysterious purpose.
