THE CROSS

They hung our Lord upon a cross,
A deed that lives in infamy.
Now, we hang one 'round our necks,
Forgetting not His agony.
A symbol known throughout the world,
Whatever land we live in,
A sign that shows such mercy
That the nailer was forgiven.
