Synopsis

A high-class impossible theft and a death in a dark alley prompts Susan Dax into the un-seemingly seedy realm of Frances gangland world. While seeking answers vis--vis why a stranger died in her arms and where she could find a stolen ornament of unparalleled beauty, the lovely billionaire freelance trouble-shooter and her unmatched talented partner Seymour Krakauer must unravel the mystery with the aid of a new colleague.

Their undertaking plunges them into strange currents of criminal dealings and sets them on a startling conflict against very lethal opponents. In a quest to find out the mastermind behind the theft of the famous jewel, they find themselves bumping heads with the mob heads of Paris's organized criminal underworld.

Shadowing a trail of danger that eventually involves those they care about, Susan and Seymour fight against a pair of horrifying villains who hold a lever which compels her obedience. A hold that cannot be broken or won without battling and overcoming terrible ordeals. Ordeals that carry the story to a sustained and seething climax.
