Am I joking?

One does not usually choose a lifestyle. It is something you are born with, and on reaching maturity, strive to maintain in the face of an economy that will not permit beggars being choosers. Lifestyle depends on many things including; health, wealth, IQ, appearance, contacts and just plain luck. It is not easy to just change your lifestyle. It usually entails an up-grade, occasionally a change comes along on the tails of an idea. It happened in the following story, but it proved rather a rough passage.
