Introduction

An attempt has been made by the author in this volume to put Gandhi's writings and speeches at one place for proper understanding of his life, thoughts, and actions.

Structure of the Book

To make the book reader friendly, it has been divided into two parts. Part one comprises two historical writings: (a) The Green Pamphlet, in which Gandhi described in detail the condition of Indian people in South Africa, and (b) Hind Swaraj or Indian Home Rule, in which Gandhi set goals for himself and for India.

Second part comprises speeches from different times. These speeches depict almost all aspects and are of contemporary relevance.
