About the Authors

Maureen Mahan Copelof and her husband, Sylvan, fell in love with Germany while stationed there with the US military.

Refusing to let the adventure end with their military tour, they embarked on a journey to purchase a home in a small German town on the Neckar River, well outside the usual haunts of American tourists.

Here they share their discoveries of unexpected treasures with the people they got to know; the beer, wine and food that they experienced; and the history, art, castles and fables that came alive for them.
