Uruguayans and Diego Forlán

For Uruguayans, Diego Forlán is a true idol. The forward is the all-time leading goal scorer for Uruguay's National Team.

During the 2010 World Cup, he won the Golden Ball award as the tournament's best player and was named to the all-star team.

Forlán has starred on such top European clubs as Manchester United and Inter Milan, twice winning the coveted Golden Shoe award.

Though he currently lives in Europe, he remains deeply connected to his homeland. Among his various humanitarian endeavors, Forlán serves as an ambassador for UNICEF in Uruguay.
