Failure was an option for Ace, an ex-convict who is determined to succeed, in a new way of life back on the streets of Trenton, New Jersey. Ace attempt to enroll into Trenton Central High School but was rejected. He attempted to avoid a life of crime, and failed. He even failed to listen to the only girl who saved him from a drive-by shooting.

Love and determination

But love and determination compels FranSheila to convince Ace that the only way he was going to succeed in life, was by him being with her. After forming a strong bond with each other, a misunderstanding separates the two, having a detrimental effect on their love for each other.
