Fiction and fact combine to help five women tell their stories

Nitocris, an Egyptian Queen born to be Pharaoh: Bathsheba, a Biblical Queen who bathed on a roof; Dervorgilla, a Celtic Lady who often clashed with her Norman husband; Christine, a Renaissance Poet who wrote about subjects that affected women of her day; and Artemisia, a Baroque Artist who drew women bigger than life with passions to fit.

Their lives are linked by lot and tradition and reach through the ages to touch our own.
