Objective of the Volume

The overall aim of this volume is to review critically the current state of, and future prospects for developments in viral taxonomy.

Contributors' Background

Most of the contributors to this volume have had substantial period of service on the Executive Committee and sub-committees of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV).
