Casey and Lucas Go to the Vet

is a story intended to help children be comfortable in the care of medical personnel. As Lucas and Casey are playing, Casey gets injured and needs to see the Veterinarian. Lucas is afraid, as most children are of the doctor and soon finds his experience is not one of fear while at the animal hospital. I felt using animals as an introduction to the medical community incorporates the warmth, compassion & connection all humans feel for animals, especially children.
