All my life, I grew up listening to my father tell stories of his life, especially his wartime experiences. I knew these stories had to be put into print for future generations to enjoy. The events recounted here reflect the true voice of my father. While reading the text, I can picture a group of family and friends of all ages sitting around him, captivated by his life's stories. The favorites are always of the 78^th Infantry Division and all the characters he fought with. Now these stories will be told forever.
