About the Book

This is a true story about perseverance. The first book in this epic series, Sherrod Bryant leaves his unique, racially integrated 1800s village to become an indentured servant. He endures indentured servitude on a Virginia plantation where he navigates brutal racism, sparks change, and finds forbidden love, ultimately striving to build a multi-racial community in Tennessee amidst persistent threats and heartbreaking separation. He perseveres and realizes his dream of creating a family legacy that will last for generations.

In this, the second installment, after the passing of the Patriarch of the family, Sherrod Bryant, his son, Henderson, and the rest of the Bryant family must navigate their way not just through the management and care of Bryant town, but also through the turmoil of the Civil War, which divided their once-great, multicultural community.
