Poetry from a Dark Time

The poems on the following pages come from a very dark time in my life. I have struggled with depression and its various stages since I was a little girl. Writing poetry has always been my outlet.

These poems came from a failed suicide attempt. Failing to end my own life, I did however take the life of my beautiful, beloved Dozer, a nineteen month old tri-colored Basset Hound. Much of the content is dark, while others portray a time of taking steps to rise above this episode of depression.
