First published in 1941, The Battle of Britain was a propaganda booklet issued by the Ministry of Information to capitalize on the success of the RAF in defeating the Luftwaffe.

Significance

An amazing period piece, hundreds of thousands of copies were printed and sold for 6d and it became one of the year's best selling books. It is the first book to embed in the public imagination the heroics of "The Few".
