Book Content Overview

The book includes 9 chapters of general, organic, and biological chemistry. Chapters 1 through 9 provide an molecular design of life, Biological Evaluation, Cell theory, Proteins structure, DNA and RNA, and Genes. These chapters include applications in health care and build a strong foundation for organic and biological chemistry. Chapters 9 cover the catalytic strategies, basics of biochemistry that are so important in health care and that provide an understanding of how our bodies work. In these chapters biomolecules, such as carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids are covered. Students are also introduced to the metabolic pathways that provide the energy and molecules needed for life.
