Book Synopsis

Though the banished duke’s son Allen wants nothing more than to live a quiet and carefree life, his desire to help his once-betrothed Riese leads him to join her in a search for the truth behind mysterious goings-on in the Kingdom of Adastera. Following rumored sightings of Riese’s supposedly deceased uncle Alfred, their investigation takes them to a remote village in the Frontier. At the behest of the village’s mayor, they attend the local Festival of the Dead, an occasion when the dead appear among the living. What shocking truth will be revealed in this strange time? And what darkness is brewing within the capital?
