Introduction

This publication titled, "Applied Criminology" provides readers with an introductory overview of applied criminology. An institutional perspective on applied criminology is given. An overview of various theories of crime is provided herein. The listing and analysis of other criminological theories are done. An applied criminology perspective on different types of crimes, criminality and crime prevention laws are given. A case study from India dealing with female crime and criminality is dealt.
