Anne of the Island

Anne of the Island is the third book in the Anne of Green Gables series, written by Lucy Maud Montgomery about Anne Shirley.

Anne of the Island was published in 1915, seven years after the bestselling Anne of Green Gables. Montgomery published in 1908.

The original book follows the adventures of Anne Shirley, a precocious young orphan girl living on Prince Edward Island.

... Though the book is a work of fiction - there is no real Anne Shirley on whose life the events in it are based - Anne of Green Gables does have some ties to reality.
