Story Inspiration

This story was inspired by a trip to the supermarket to purchase vanilla ice cream requested by her three young daughters. The chest freezer held some strange seasonal combinations but no vanilla.

As the Pumpkin Carmel Ripple flavor was mentioned, the girls all made disgusting noises and faces so this story developed to make the most disgusting combination of flavors that any child, or adult for that matter, could imagine.

Making Ice Cream

The final twist to that day was going home and making Kick-the-can ice cream. It was fun and much more exciting to have the girls participate. And the day was a success after all.

Story Purpose

The idea for The Amazing Tale of Bub the Trier was to find a character who could possibly put together strange food combinations and come out with a totally unexpected success.

Final Twist

The final twist in this story is that something wonderful did come out of the trying.
