About the Book

Alaska is about a woman named Lucy Bundy who has been working in a medical field filing papers for the past five years.

She is married to a man named Derrick who is a pharmacist at a hospital in St. Paul whom she never sees.

When she tries to get a hold of Derrick at work a man answers the phone not knowing that her husband has cheated on her.

When she talks to friends she finds out her husband has cheated on her since marriage as Derrick goes away for the weekend she decides to pack up everything file for a divorce without Derrick knowing and head to Alaska.
