Stories of Helping and Self-Acceptance

One story is about helping a boy with a toothache, helping him get over his fear of going to the dentist.

Another story is about a little girl who doesn''t like her freckles and wishes she didn''t have them at all. He shows her little freckled bird eggs and she sees how cute they are, and when the chicks hatch she realizes her freckles are pretty.

I wish I could say these are the same problems our children face today. Sometimes they do, but our children are under constant assault from far worse. Still, the stories are refreshing, simple, and carry themes that still apply.
