Adolescent development and well-being are both affected by socio-political change, political violence, immigrant status and various types of cultural, social and institutional diversity. These are realities faced by many adolescents in Europe today.

This book examines these circumstances, and also the impact of recent socio-political changes in Eastern Europe and conflicts in Northern Ireland. Adolescent identities are looked at, as well as the effects of prejudice towards immigrant youths from their host societies.
