ACROSS THE DARKNESS

When the stars exploded and the splintered pieces of sunlight hurtled across the darkness it created the wonder of a miracle and now far away on the dot of blue earth as it rotates around the hot red sun spinning on its axis is a physics masterpiece.

I hold my dearest child in the stillness of the night and nurse her against my warm skin. I look down into her blue eyes and see all the universe. She is the world and all our hopes and dreams.
