This book is about an 8 1/2-year-old girl named Abbie. She is a sweet, mischievous, loving, and playful girl. Her imagination is large and so is her heart.

Abbie wants people to be more accepting of others. Abbie has two moms, a boy as a best friend, and a friend who is in a wheelchair, and she is a part of a blended family.

She loves to play outdoors, read books, climb trees, and shoot squirt guns.

Abbie often gets in trouble with her teacher and her mom but never with her grandma. There are lessons learned along the way.
