Summary

This recounting of twenty-six past love relationships creates a portrait of the protagonist as a woman who knows what she wants and who is often frustrated by the inability of any one man to fully rise to the occasion. This is a bittersweet, humorous account of a South African woman's trial-and-error relationships as she searches for love.
