After Earnshaw's death, his elder son Hindley becomes the new master of Wuthering Heights and allows Heathcliff to stay only as a servant. Catherine is in love with Heathcliff but doesn't show it due to her social status. The story is very interesting and ends with sights of the ghosts of Catherine and Heathcliff. It includes many ups and downs, and readers will surely enjoy the novel. It's heart-throbbing and very difficult to put down without reading it fully.
Anne Bronte
Anne Bronte was born on 17th Jan, 1820 at Thornton, Yorkshire, England, and died on 28th May, 1849 at Scarborough, Yorkshire. She was an English poet and novelist. Her sisters Charlotte and Emily Bronte were also poets & novelists. Anne Bronte's pen name was Acton Bell. She was the youngest member of the Bronte literary family. She wrote two novels - Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Along with her sisters, she wrote poems and published them as Poems by Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell. Anne attended a boarding school for just a year. At home, her studies included music and drawing. Despite her aunt's efforts to make Anne and her sister perfect in household skills, they were more interested in literature. Her father had a good collection of books by renowned authors and on various subjects, which she read extensively, including the Bible, Homer, Shakespeare, Milton, and others. Her interest in history, geography, and biographical books helped her imagination and creativity grow. She developed an imaginary world and her literary talent flourished. Anne worked as a governess for almost six years. Her second novel, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, is considered one of the first feminist novels. She was deeply affected by the death of her sister Emily at the age of just 29, which impacted her health. Anne was brave and unafraid of death, praying to be allowed more time in this world to do good. Her poems and novels have become classics in the literary world.
