Overview

This is a collection of short stories told from the point of a child as in Ofara. There are events from my childhood which I brought in to help show how life was for a child growing up in Nigeria (Same, Moon and Sun). Also the expectations from the standpoint of a parent and how education was a big part of our lives (Our Role Model). There are also events that tie a village together, such as in the story of The True Ada. There is the mixture of what I see here in America with what was back home, as in Ready for School. All in all, it is the connections that make us who we are or aspire to be.
