In 2011 I was working at the diamond district in New York city

I was specialized in setting online operations, sales and business software implementations for companies. I came across a small company that asked me to set their online operation. After a steady growth for a couple of years, the company decided to move to Miami, Florida, and asked me to come with them to Miami to help them reset the operation there. I agreed for the new adventure, and after another 3 years of being together in Miami, we decided to part ways.

Deciding to take a break and explore new opportunities

I did not take a vacation for over 10 years and decided to take my time to think about my next chapter. I came across an ad for a Lyft driver. I checked into the ad and found that driving a car is a kind of taxi driving, which would serve me very well at this point in my life. It would give me the freedom to think and make some money for my expenses. I did not think it would last more than 2-3 weeks until I moved to my next chapter.

Discovering a new passion

To my surprise, I got addicted to driving. I enjoyed meeting thousands of people from all levels of society, from drug dealers to politicians, regular Joe and Mary, CEOs from top corporations, celebrities, religious leaders and non-believers, prostitutes, and strippers. After 8 months of driving and hearing all their stories, I decided to put together a book that reflects my adventures and share it with the public.

The essence of my journey

I tried to give a taste of everything I experienced—from jokes to cheating, with a flavor of philosophy and surprises, all mixed together. Keep in mind that an average ride is only 20 minutes, so I have very little time to connect with the folks. I am a good communicator and believe I made the most of those moments. I hope you will enjoy my journey as I take you to places you've never been before.

Final thoughts and appreciation

The arrangement of subjects is not in any special order or importance, and you can read it in any order you wish. I want to thank all the people who trusted me and shared their stories and their willingness to listen to me. I highly appreciate their openness; it is the highest honor for me to have this trust. I know I provided good advice to some folks on how to proceed with their lives, and I send them lots of love and best wishes for a good future.
