Life is good for thirty-something New Yorker, Elizabeth Archer

Elizabeth lives in an apartment overlooking Washington Square Park, enjoys a lucrative job in midtown, and is engaged to marry a man of means. But things are about to change, forcing Elizabeth to question long-held beliefs about herself and come to terms with who she really is.
