Summary

Growing up with an abusive mother, 26-year-old Lauren, with a bachelor's degree in Art, and recently married, finds herself challenged with bouts of self-doubt and depression. Her husband has been acting strangely and she suspects he is hiding something related to his new boss, Abraham, a Palestinian from Jerusalem. With 911 still fresh in her mind, she suspects Michael may be involved in something sinister with Abraham. But she also wonders if Michael is having an affair.

While accompanying Michael on a business trip to Chicago all hell breaks loose. Her father is murdered, an attempt is made on her life and Michael disappears.

Journey for Answers

These events leave Lauren questing for answers and how to move on with her life. She learns that Abraham has moved back to Jerusalem, so she ventures to Israel to confront him.

Romance and Uncertainty

While in Israel, she meets a handsome Israeli widower with two children, with whom a romance soon blossoms. Yet lingering in the back of Lauren's mind she wonders if Michael is alive, why did he leave, and will he reappear?

Revelation and Redemption

She is in for the shock of her life when she is finally faced with the truth of a family secret that explodes into several redemptive revelations that lead her on a path to deliverance, forgiveness, and freedom.
